报告摘要：Meta-analysis is a widely used statistical technique to synthesize the research findings from multiple studies for decision making. In evidence-based medicine, e-analytic results are often regarded as the most reliable source of evidence. In this talk, I will provide an overview of the meta-analysis and outline the main procedure for conducting a systematic review, followed by a discussion of key challenges encountered in the implementation of meta-analysis. Finally, I will share some recent advances from our research group in developing new statistical modelling and methods for meta-analysis, along with their potential applications in evidence-based practice.

个人简介：

童铁军，香港浸会大学数学系教授。2005年博士毕业于美国加州大学圣巴巴拉分校，2005-2007年在美国耶鲁大学从事博士后研究，2007-2010年在美国科罗拉多大学博尔德分校担任助理教授，2010年至今任职于香港浸会大学数学系。主要科研方向包括非参数回归模型、高维数据分析、Meta分析和循证医学。已在国际知名学术期刊如JASA、Biometrika、Statistical Science、JMLR、Nature Communications上发表了学术论文100余篇，其中包括数篇ESI热点论文和ESI高被引论文，单篇论文最高被引用超过9500次。
